What We Saw at INFOSEK 2026

We spent this week at INFOSEK 2026 in Nova Gorica, Slovenia's largest cybersecurity conference. This year's theme, "Security starts with people," showed up everywhere: not just in the keynote, but in how many sessions treated process, training, and human judgment as part of the security stack, not an afterthought to it.

Cloudflare's AI Gateway

The talk that stood out most was Cloudflare's presentation of their AI Gateway: a control layer that sits in front of LLM API traffic, giving teams visibility into requests, caching, rate limits, and cost, regardless of which model provider is behind it.

It's a problem we recognize. As more of a company's workflows run through LLM calls, "which model, at what cost, with what oversight" stops being a side question and becomes core infrastructure. Model-agnostic, observable AI infrastructure is exactly the layer we've been building toward at NeuraRod, so seeing a major infrastructure provider treat it as a first-class product is a good sign for where the industry is heading.

T-2's Incident Management Platform

T-2 also presented IMS, their platform for managing operational incidents: tracking issues from detection through resolution, and moving in an AI-first direction. Incident management is one of those problems every technical organization has, and few solve elegantly. Good to see it get a proper stage.

Congratulations to Smail Jušić

One personal highlight: Smail Jušić, an external SecOps collaborator we work with often at NeuraRod, received the Security Engineer of the Year award at this year's event. The recognition reflects his work building and automating SOC processes. Well deserved.

Good Company

Beyond the talks, INFOSEK is where you run into the rest of Slovenia's security community: Splunk, Delinea, and plenty of familiar faces at the booths, plus a conference mascot and good conversations that don't fit into slides.
